What centre cancellation can and cannot do
This tool subtracts the right channel from the left channel to reduce audio present equally in both. It is a stereo signal-processing technique, not a trained stem-separation model. A lead vocal often sits in the centre, but drums, bass, dialogue, and other centred sounds can also be affected.
A practical workflow
Use a short stereo clip. Try Reduce centre, compare with the original, and export WAV. Centre estimate averages the channels and can retain other instruments. Mono audio is rejected because subtraction would remove everything.
Before you export
Use only media you own or have permission to process. Keep the source and inspect the result. Desktop Chrome or Edge is a useful starting point; memory, codecs, and graphics support vary by device. A readable error means the current file or environment needs a different workflow, not that a result was created.
Will I get clean vocals and instrumental stems?
No. This version provides centre cancellation and an estimate, with results that vary by recording. Reverberant or off-centre vocals may remain. It is not equivalent to AI stem separation.
