Selected video processing stays on your device
The frame extractor uses your browser’s video decoder and a local canvas to capture the displayed picture. Selecting a video does not send the recording to this website’s server. Captured images are represented as local browser objects until you download them. This is useful when you want to review work footage or personal recordings without using an upload-based converter. Use your own judgment about whether the device and browser are appropriate for sensitive material.
Local processing is not a promise of zero network activity
Loading this website still requests page files from the host. Other media tools can download AI models or the FFmpeg engine when needed, as explained in the privacy policy. A contact inquiry is also transmitted if you submit the form. This page does not claim that your browser, extensions or operating system have no network activity. The frame-extraction path itself does not require uploading your selected media.
Use an offline workflow you can verify
Open the page and allow its files to finish loading before selecting your video. An already-loaded extractor can often keep working if the connection drops, but this release does not install a service worker or guarantee that a fresh offline visit will load. For a reliably disconnected workflow, use a desktop application prepared beforehand. On a shared device, download only where you intend to store the images, close the tab after use and manage downloaded files through the device’s normal privacy controls.
Start with a short test
- Choose a compatible local video and wait for a playable preview.
- Capture one useful moment, or select a short range and interval.
- Compare the actual subject, then download an image or gallery ZIP.
The workspace accepts sources up to 2 GB and 8.3 million decoded pixels per frame. A gallery holds up to 120 images or 96 MB. Seeking depends on the browser and source timing. Keep the source, use media you have permission to process, and check a small output before starting a larger batch.
Questions for this workflow
Is the website fully available offline?
Not guaranteed. It is not an installed offline application, and a fresh visit needs its page assets.
Do you store the video or extracted images?
The frame extractor does not upload or store those media files on the server. Hosting and contact-request handling are explained in the privacy policy.
